Sprague Woodturning

I make wooden inlayed food safe salad bowls, Lichtenberg burnt figured bowls and boards, pepper and salt mills, salad spoons and wine bottle stoppers. The majority of my products are made from reclaimed wood and all products are kiln dried. I use the twice turned method, where I roughout logs into thick wooden forms and then place them in my drying shed for up to one year. The final step is to place them in a kiln and then finished with a food safe coating. I consider my products to be functional art, meant to be used everyday but beautiful enough to be called art!
